About Me - CyberSecRad - Radney Miranda

Hi, I am CyberSecRad – a cybersecurity professional based in Sydney, Australia. I bring over a decade of experience in SEO, web development, IT systems management, and cybersecurity from roles at LeapOut Digital, Guimba Water District (Philippines Gov’t Organization), and freelance projects. I have a broad knowledge in network security, threat management, and penetration testing, paired with my passion for Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance (CGRC).

1. Education

I completed my secondary education at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College in the Philippines from 2005 to 2009 with outstanding grades. I then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, majoring in Systems Development, from Central Luzon State University from 2009 to 2013. I finished my degree of Master of Information Technology (M.I.T.), specializing in cybersecurity at King’s Own Institute in Sydney, Australia on February, 2025.

2. Work Experience

I started as a Junior SEO and Internet Marketing Specialist intern at LeapOut Digital (formerly DigitalMoz SEO) from December 2012 to February 2013, handling website optimization, SEO audits, keyword analysis, and competitor research. From July 2013 to March 2015, I taught IT courses at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College, covering computer fundamentals for high school students and web design for college students. In 2018, I worked part-time at Spectre Security as a Product Designer and Systems Developer, managing cryptocurrency-related web products to hone my skills. From 2016 to 2023, I was an IT Specialist, Programmer, and Data Protection Officer at Guimba Water District, maintaining IT systems, networks, and websites while overseeing data privacy. Since 2013, I’ve freelanced, developing high-quality websites and projects. For the past three years, I’ve focused on cybersecurity, pursuing skills as a Penetration Tester and exploring Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance (CGRC) Specialist roles.

2. Certifications

I have been working to obtain professional certifications to further enhance my knowledge and experience in different cybersecurity domains. Some of the certifications under my belt include CompTIA Security+ SY0-701, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, IriusRisk DeRisker, and Champion of Security. I am looking forward to advancing and gaining more as I dive into the cybersecurity space.
